EMF stands for electromagnetic fields and is basically the radiation generated when you pass an electrical current through a wire or through any electrical device. They can be incidental in that they are an unintended result of the operation of a device such as a drills, hairdryer, toaster, or they can be intentional such as a microwave transmitter sending signals to your cell phone. With all of the radio signals and EMF associated with electrical devices in a typical New Zealand home or workplace (or where ever you are in the world!), we now experience typically 100 million times more radiation than our grandparents.
