Dementia Reversal with Coconut oil – in an 85yr old at 35 days
Coconut oil has been a part of my staple diet for over a decade now. I first started buying it when I discovered it could help with thyroid problems, and when I first started eating it, it did help to raise my very low basal body temperature.
However in recent months, for some reason I’d swapped coconut oil for ghee in much of my cooking. But after reading an interesting report on the benefits of coconut oil recently, I’m back to using it daily.
It’s also spurred me into doing even more research about the many health benefits of using coconut oil – particularly for the aging population.
Coconut oil and Alzheimers
I’d read a bit about Dr Mary Newport’s experience with coconut oil reversing her husband’s Alzheimers disease a while back and so while looking for info on this subject this morning I came across this video.
I thought I’d share it because I love positive stories like this that display the absolute (and totally underestimated) power of food to heal.
Coconut oil is becoming much more readily available these days, but if you’re not sure where to buy it, here’s a few suggestions.
Something to be aware of is that some of the coconut oils sold in Asian grocers are not good quality. Always go for a cold processed, organic, virgin coconut oil preferably.
How to use coconut oil?
You can use coconut oil pretty much anywhere that you’d use other fats or oils. You can cook with it, bake with it (replace butter or shortening), spread it on toast instead of butter, add it to smoothies or just eat it off the spoon. Coconut oil is really versatile and if you buy a good quality oil, it tastes and smells amazing!
Please share. This information has the potential to give someone their life back. 🙂
