Healthy Soda? A Healthy Alternative To Diet Soda (And It’s Quick And Simple!)
It seems that word is gradually getting out, and sinking in, about the unhealthy effects of drinking soda. Let’s face it, both the sugar filled soda varieties and the artificial sweetener filled diet sodas come packaged with well researched, undesirable effects on both health and obesity, so understandably there are plenty of people who are looking for healthy soda alternatives.
Is there such a thing as a healthy soda?
I don’t know if there actually is such a thing as a healthy soda that’s made commercially, but I think I’ve come up with a great alternative that’s healthy, almost zero calorie, natural, tastes great and can be enjoyed by adults and kids alike.
Even my little grandchildren love it!
The best thing about this drink is that you can make it quickly and easily by the glass or by the jug.
Now, let’s put it together
- Squeeze the juice from the lemon wedge into the sparkling water
- Drop the squeezed wedge into the water for more flavour
- Add a few drops of liquid Stevia to taste (if you haven’t used Stevia before, go slowly. It is very sweet and a little goes a long way. Try one or two drops and then taste to see if you need more).
- Stir and enjoy!
